I am having issues receiving MMS messages. On both Handcent and the Stock Messaging app, it shows a MMS message ready to be downloaded, but it does not let me download the message. Data is enabled, and I am rooted so I'm not sure if that is an issue or not. Would really like to avoid having to do a factory reset. Any advice? I don't have to much time to dig deeper, but why you need GCM for just downloading MMS like standard apps do (which not using Google Services). I think you can just somehow skip it, and download MMS like dozen apps on market do. With "Signal messages and calls" enabled, MMS are downloaded and displayed correctly. Once done, you can try downloading the MMS message. Solution 2. Disable Auto-Retrieve in MMS Setting. I am not receiving all of my texts when in a Group text - MMS. I will receive all of my texts, however, if I am in a one-to-one text message.
